  State Test Information

In our class the work that is not completed at the end of the class day becomes homework.  Each child should copy the assignments from the board and take the assignment book home everyday. If an assignment has been completed the student should have bubbled in the box for that assignment. If the assignment is not bubbled in the student and the parent will be able to tell what is needed for homework.

Every Friday a take home folder will be sent home .  This folder contains the graded papers, tardies, and a conduct grade for the week.   I will also send papers from the office home in this folder.  The students need to return the graded papers that have a grade lower than a 70 and the folder to school on Monday with a parent signature.

A progress report will be sent home about four weeks into the grading period.  A report card will be sent home at the end of the nine weeks grading period.

Fifth grade Benchmark testing for TAKS will be given this school year.  We will be testing in science, math and in reading. A student must pass the Reading and the Math TAKS test to be promoted to Sixth Grade.
