SPECIAL EVENTS

The Shackelford Annual Field Day is a fun and exciting day on our campus! On this special day, all Shackelford students demonstrate the activities and skills they have mastered while attending gym classes. This is a time to show their stuff and relax from their academic studies. Ribbons are awarded for their performances and popsicles, parties and arts & crafts are other activities associated with the event. This is a great way for the students to wind down before the end of the school year.

The District Wide Fifth Grade Field Day is exclusively for all fifth graders in the Waxahachie Independent School District. In this particular event, all Elementary campus’s fifth graders join together at Lumpkins Stadium to demonstrate their abilities against their other fifth grade peers. Each year a different campus hosts the event and is in charge of planning the festivities.
