Reading	Review Summary	Read “The Zebra-Riding Cowboy” on p.414-421 and write a summary of the story on notebook paper. Make sure you include the main events from the beginning, middle, and end.
English	Writing a Research Report	No Homework
Spelling	Homophones	Complete “Practice” on p. 108, #1-20 on p. 109, and “Review” on p.111.
Soc. Studies	Victory at San Jacinto (continued)	No Homework
Math	Review All Objectives	Complete the TAKS packet in the homework pocket of your binder. This will be a major part of your weekly math grades (see note below).
Science	Ecosystems	No Homework

Dates & Reminders

v The math packet needs to stay in your child’s binder when he/she is not working on it. We might be discussing some of the questions or working on it during the week. It must be turned in every Friday along with the other homework listed on this newsletter.

v April 17^th: Kindergarten Roundup for ALL WISD Kindergarteners going to Marvin, Shackelford, or Felty for the 2008-2009 school year will be at Marvin from 9-12 a.m. & 5-8 p.m.

v April 21-25: Half Priced Book Fair

v April 29 & 30: 4^th Grade TAKS Math and TAKS Reading
