I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors degree.  “Gig Em”. Currently I am working on my Masters degree in Reading. I have been teaching for 23 years in WISD. I have taught 1^st & 2^nd grade, Reading Recovery, and Literacy groups as well as been a Classroom Literacy Facilitator.  I am currently a Reading Recovery/Literacy Specialist working with 1^st and 2^nd grade students.

I am married to J.D.. We have two wonderful children Kelsey (13) and Preston (11).  Kelsey attends WJHS.  She is very active in dance, band, student council, yearbook and church activities. Preston is a sixth grader at Turner Middle School.  He is active in Scouts, Karate, and flag football as well as church activities. We are members of the College Street Church of Christ.

I enjoy spending time with family, friends, being outdoors, and going shopping.
